NCW COLLISION COURSE 2012 Press Release

DEDHAM- On Friday night February 3rd Northeast Championship Wrestling kicks off its first event of the 2012 wrestling season live from the Jacob Jones VFW Post 2017 [84 Eastern Avenue] in Dedham, MA with NCW COLLISION COURSE.
Competing in a seasonal format from February through November, Northeast Championship Wrestling presents a unique night of entertainment wherever it goes bringing forth its larger than life characters, incredible athleticism, and a one of a kind experience for people of all ages. Our family-friendly wrestling events have been promoted all throughout New England for the last 15 years, with our huge anniversary event taking place this April.
After our huge 2011 finale in Dedham last November, “The Antisocial Anarchist” Tim Kilgore defeated Heavyweight Champion Buddy Romano to win the Championship, celebrating the victory on his daughters fourth birthday with his family in the crowd. In a twist this was Kilgore’s final match as an active competitor, with Tim retiring as Champion. With the NCW Title vacated, Commissioner Dean “The Beast” Livsley has announced a companywide twenty two man tournament to crown a new Heavyweight Champion. The preliminary matches of the tournament will begin February 3rd at COLLISION COURSE, with additional preliminaries taking place over the first NCW events of this Season. Livsley has also announced that that Semifinal and Final Rounds of the tournament will take place April 27th at NCW’s 15 year REUNION event which will also take place at the VFW Post in Dedham.
Two big tournament matches have been set for COLLISION COURSE on the 3rd. In one match we will see the NCW 2011 Season Cup winner and three time former Heavyweight Champion “The Portuguese Sensation” Ruy Batello going up against the man who injured him last year and originally forced him on the disabled list—“Maine’s Greatest Son” Scotty Vegas. Vegas believed he had gotten rid of Batello permanently last Season, only to see “The Portuguese Sensation” make a surprise return at WrestleFest VII, eliminating Scotty from the Season Cup Match. The other featured tournament match happening in Dedham will see Zero Tolerance’s “Cocky” Kevin Cordeiro accompanied by his mentor “The Original Showoff” Mike Paiva going up against his former friend and tag team partner Rob the Giant.
In the night’s Main Event the NCW Tag Team Champions Destruction Under Impact (“The RIOT” Kellan Thomas & “Impact” William Thorne) battling Zero Tolerance members Buddy Romano and David Marxxx-Loomis in a Non Title Match. DUI’s William Thorne was nearly injured back at WrestleFest when Zero Tolerance relentlessly attacked Thorne’s knee during their Tag Team Championship Match against Mike Paiva & Kevin Cordeiro. Zero Tolerance were eventually disqualified, but Thorne and Thomas have been itching to get another crack at their new rivals. If they can defeat the tandem of Romano & Loomis in Dedham, they’ll get their rematch.
PLUS “The Monster” Cenobite along with his muse Valkyrie, “Simply the Best” GA West, The Lumberjake, The Granite State Wrecking Crew, “The Barrington Bulldozer” John Munroe & many more scheduled to appear! Card subject to change.
Doors open at 7:30 with the show beginning at 8pm. Tickets are only $10 for adults and only $5 for kids twelve and under. The Jacob Jones VFW Post is located at 84 Eastern Avenue in Dedham, MA.
