NCW’s 2011 Season Award RESULTS

“The Antisocial Anarchist” Tim Kilgore- 29%
“The Juice” JT Dunn- 24%
“The Showoff” Mike Paiva- 10%
Buddy Romano- 9%
2011 was the year of Kilgore! After staking his claim to retire at the end of the 2011 Season, attacking Ruy Batello and declaring his intentions to retire as Heavyweight Champion, “The Antisocial Anarchist” followed through on all his promises as he worked his way through the NCW roster en route to challenging Buddy Romano for the NCW Title at WrestleFest VII.
Right behind Tim in the voting this year was “The Juice” JT Dunn, who had a breakout year after splitting with former tag team partner Vincenzo Abruzzi. Taking up the company of Luscious Latasha and then Amber, Dunn embarked on an epic feud with GA West, raising the stock of this talented highflyer. Mike Paiva and Buddy Romano round off the list, with Paiva beating out Buddy by a single vote.

Destruction Under Impact- 48%
One and a Half Men- 24%
The Granite State Wrecking Crew- 13%
Generation SLAM- 11%
For the second year in a row DUI has dominated the Tag Team category, decimating (destroying?) the competition. “The RIOT” Kellan Thomas and “Impact” William Thorne also finally captured the NCW Tag Team Championship, defeating Generation SLAM in an intense physical contest at NCW Spring Slam.
In 2nd place is the tandem of One and a Half Men, unlikely contenders now that Kevin Cordeiro has shockingly turned his back on his former friend and partner. The Granite State Wrecking Crew has come to NCW, and has definitely turned some heads with their finesse and power moves. Be on the look out for this impressive team in 2012.

The Boston Massacre II WrestleFest VII
“The Monster” Cenobite w/ Valkyrie vs. Pacifico- 24%
“The Juice” JT Dunn vs. “Simply the Best” GA West- 22%
Buddy Romano vs. Tim Kilgore- 11%
DUI vs. One and a Half Men- 11%
The 2011 Match of the Year category was one of this Season’s most competitive ballots, with voting taking place right up to the deadline. In the end it was the Boston Massacre II, as “The Monster” Cenobite went up against his longtime rival Richard Pacifico in a violent war to end all wars. After beating each other mercilessly with weapons all around the ring, Cenobite finally put Pacifico through a ringside table to end things once and for all.
JT Dunn and GA West culminated their five month back and forth at WrestleFest as well, with both men impressing the voters with their technical skills. And while “Simply the Best” stole a victory thanks to the Firm, Dunn still received an ovation following the match for his efforts. Buddy Romano and Tim Kilgore hit an emotional cord at WrestleFest (see below), capping off an amazing career for “The Antisocial Anarchist”.

The Lumberjake- 46%
Derrik Andrews- 29%
Taka Suzuki- 13%
Gunar Rowe- 6%
It’s the year of The Lumberjake! Arriving in NCW from the Yukon, Lumberjake made his NCW debut at the 14 year REUNION during the REUNION Rumble making an immediate impact. And while the vicious woodsman was initially trained by the evil-minded Mike Paiva, Lumberjake’s friendly demeanor began to shine through. After working for MTE and joining forces with Derrik Andrews, Andrews & Lumberjake turned a new leaf when Lumberjake eliminated Chris James from the NO FEAR Costume Battle Royal, forging his own path mentor be damned.

Steve “The Turtle” Weiner vs. MTE- 16%
Tim Kilgore vs. NCW- 12%
Buddy Romano vs. “Dynamite” Doug Summers- 12%
There were many strong feuds this Season, showcasing some of NCW’s best and brightest. Leading the pack for 2011 was the rivalry between “The Juice” JT Dunn and “Simply the Best” GA West, two guys who brought out the best in one another while waging war throughout the year.
Cenobite and Pacifico’s feud had spanned three years, bringing a vast history leading into their MOTY collision at WrestleFest VII. MTE returned to NCW this Season singling out the 2010 Season Cup Winner Steve “The Turtle” Weiner, and Weiner’s prestigious Season Cup in the process. It should also be noted of the classic Best of 7 Series between Doug Summers and Buddy Romano, a feud that really brought Romano into the spotlight for 2011.

“The Juice” JT Dunn- 20%
“The Portuguese Sensation” Ruy Batello- 19%
Tim Kilgore- 10%
“The Monster” Cenobite- 10%
And the most popular wrestler of NCW shouldn’t come as a huge shock to anyone who’s attended an NCW event during the 2011 Season, as Steve “The Turtle” Weiner came in strong with 27% of the vote. Don’t discount “The Juice” JT Dunn or Ruy Batello however, two strong nominees with 20% and 19% of the vote respectively.

“The Showoff” Mike Paiva- 28%
Buddy Romano- 14%
“Simply the Best” GA West- 13%
Scotty “By GOD” Vegas- 11%
He’s many things here in NCW. “The Original Showoff” (thanks Dolph Ziggler), a charter member of the new Zero Tolerance, the longest reigning Champion in the history of NCW, and now he’s the most hated man in the company as “The Showoff” Mike Paiva becomes 2011′s Most Hated with 28% of the vote.

Cenobite and Pacifico go through the table- 25%
Tim Kilgore retires as NCW Champion- 14%
Kevin Cordeiro turns on Rob the Giant- 11%
In the history of NCW’s Holy $#!T Moment of the Year award, will anything go down as malicious and heartless than the NCW Heavyweight Champion Buddy Romano making a four year old girl cry on her birthday? 26% of you believed that was most shocking moment of 2011, and while Tim Kilgore did get his revenge for his daughter at WrestleFest, the memory will always be there for when Romano crossed that line.

Steve “The Turtle” Weiner vs. JC Marxxx- 47%
NCW vs. Hurricane Irene- 18%
Twin Peaks vs. One and a Half Men- 18%
David Loomis injured on the first show of 2011- 9%
Ox Baker versus the Fighting Tootsies… “Jivin” Jimmy Capone vs. Doink the Clown… And now joining the list of esteemed WrestleCrap memories is Steve “The Turtle” Weiner vs. manager JC Marxxx, in a match no one asked for and frankly no one needed. When Scotty “By GOD” Vegas was unable to compete in the March Madness tournament in Riverside, RI this past March, a last minute replacement was entered into the #1 Contenders Tournament, only it was shockingly JC Marxxx selected rather than David Marxxx-Loomis, since former Heavyweight Champions were barred from competing. The rest is, as they say… History.

“The Antisocial Anarchist” Tim Kilgore retires as NCW Heavyweight Champion- 49%
Chris Venom retires at REUNION- 32%
The BerZerker is destroyed by Pacifico- 10%
Tim Pittman takes a sabbatical- 8%
With 49% of the vote this year, Tim Kilgore has left the biggest impression on the NCW fanbase, getting his moment in the sun while celebrating with his friends and family after winning the NCW Championship at WrestleFest.
His friend, rival, and peer “Revolution” Chris Venom also called it quits this Season after a great career in the business, leaving on his own terms when he took on Triplelicious at NCW’s 14 year REUNION, accompanied by his “main squeeze” and wife, Gina Marie.
These are two guys who helped define NCW in its earliest days, and give the fans some of the best moments in NCW history. Recognizing all the amazing things these two have done during their tenure in NCW would take more time than there is in a day, and for that alone we thank them for the memories they’ve given us.

“The Juice” JT Dunn & Amber- 33%
“The Monster” Cenobite & Valkyrie- 22%
“The Showoff” Mike Paiva & the New England Title- 19%
JC Marxxx & David Marxxx-Loomis- 18%
A new ballot in the Season ending awards, NCW’s first (and best) couple goes to the powerhouse duo of JT Dunn & Amber, two of NCW’s finest. Though JT and Amber received 33% of the vote, the competition was fierce as Cenobite & Valkyrie AND the father/son combo nearly won the whole things at points during voting.

Dan Tanaka- 34%
Eric Extreme- 23%
Dean “The Beast” Livsley- 11%
JC Marxxx- 9%
In another one of this years most competitive categories, the returning Dan Tanaka dominated the 2011 Awards, winning his second Best Non Wrestling Personality prize.
The NCW Official had some stiff competition this Season however, as the NCW Commissioner Dean “The Beast” Livsley (his first year as a non wrestling personality) and manager JC Marxxx (the two time winner) put up a tough fight before falling to the man once known as DANCE Tanaka.
