Unfortunately due to circumstances beyond our control, we are going to be unable to get the ring from Connecticut down to West Warwick tonight for the event. This saddens us on many levels and I apologize to the fans and wrestlers who were planning on coming out tonight.

Following the most recent updates from GoLocalProv’s John Ghiorse and www.weather.com, Northeast Championship Wrestling Officials have decided to continue with tonight’s event at the Elks Lodge in West Warwick, RI. It’s going to be rainy, so bring an umbrella and have a fun night out of wrestling action before tomorrow’s big tropical storm/hurricane!

As of now we’re continuing to monitor the situation and review what will be safest for the fans and performers of Northeast Championship Wrestling. While rain is expected to hit tomorrow morning, the effects of Hurricane Irene are not set to hit the area until late Saturday night into Sunday morning.
Officials will be taking a final look at the situation Saturday at 9am. Please check back here for additional details.

Northeast Championship Wrestling Officials, promoters, Commissioner Dean Livsley, and representatives of the Elks Lodge in West Warwick have been keeping constant watch on the progress of Hurrican Irene and it’s potential impact on the east coast this coming weekend.
As of press time Officials have determined that the show will go on as planned for tomorrow night when NCW presents the Big City Rumble from the West Warwick Elks Lodge, located at 60 Clyde Street. Officials did state however that they would continue to monitor the situation heading into the event, and if there was any chance of endangering the wrestlers or public, the show could be postponed.
As of now most reports are stating that the worst of the storm would hit late Saturday night into Sunday morning, with the possibility of hitting us Monday once it hits land.
