The Wire: Summerfest Edition!

- There will be no “dog days of summer” in Northeast Championship Wrestling this Season, as NCW prepares for three huge events that kicks off this Saturday night at the Boys & Girls Club of Brockton, MA for Heatwave: Total Elimination. Headlined by the NCW Heavyweight Champion “The Portuguese Sensation” Ruy Batello’s Ruination Under Impact taking on NCW New England Champion Mike Paiva’s A-List, the epic rivalry between these longtime foes writes another chapter this Saturday night by adding eight other men and nearly two thousand pounds of chaos to the Boys & Girls Club for their Main Event battle.

- Speaking of “The Showoff’s” A-List, how good could The Granite State Wrecking Crew become in NCW? Alone “The Unequaled One” Todd Sople and “The Granite State Destroyer” Gunnar Rowe are formidable against any opponents, but together the duo’s nearly unstoppable. Just ask the NCW Tag Team Champions Destruction Under Impact, who barely got away with their first successful Title defense in Foxboro. DUI’s got a lot of potential challengers on the horizon in the coming months, with the NCW tag team division being stronger than it has been in years. Luckily for them their longtime partner Anthony Stone returns to action this Saturday night in Brockton to back up his crew!

- After an incredible match at NCW Payback in June, “Simply the Best” GA West wants “The Juice” JT Dunn one more time. The only catch? “Simply the Best” simply has to win. After Dunn put the challenge out to the former Osirus, West went toe for toe with international superstar Taka Suzuki in a great match at Summer Meltdown, only to struck down with a vicious spear after a miscommunication with GA and his associate Mark Moment.

- While we now know that Richard Pacifico was behind the brutal attack on “The Monster” Cenobite, and that he’s aligned himself with the intimidating rookie Brandon Rezner, we are still left in the dark as to why Pacifico turned down this dark path. Is he still harboring resentment towards Cenobite from their violent rivalry in 2008 (the birthplace of “The Knight Angel” BerZerker it should be noted)? Has he lost his patience with the fans and his lack of opportunity? One thing we definitely know is that Pacifico is a hypocrite in every way, shape, or form after agreeing to team with “The Devil’s Reject” Brandon Webb at Total Elimination this Saturday night. But will it be the deal made to seal Heaven Fury’s fate?

- Buddy Romano and “Dynamite” Doug Summers have dominated the first half of the 2011 Season, competing in one of the greatest series of matches NCW has ever seen. On Saturday night August 27th the final match in their Best of 7 Series will take place at the Big City Rumble, but with Buddy’s $2000 bounty on the line in West Warwick, could the former NCW Tag Team Champion be looking past his golden opportunity to win the 2011 Big City Rumble?

- Where’s Cam Denile? With “The Maniacal” Jack Krueger playing mind games on his former Schillar Park Posse partner, it seems Krueger may have finally broken down the psyche of the oldest Denile brother.

- Since announcing his intentions to retire from wrestling at the end of the NCW 2011 Season, “The Antisocial Anarchist” Tim Kilgore has had only one goal in mind– wrestling and winning the NCW Heavyweight Championship by WrestleFest VII. Unfortunately NCW Commissioner Dean “The Beast” Livsley didn’t feel the same way, and has presented Kilgore with the simple proposition of earning his Title Match rather than having it handed to him. “The Antisocial Anarchist” last received a Heavyweight Championship Match in 2008, losing a Title Match to then-NCW Champion Doug Summers with the stipulation being that if he lost he’d never get a Title Match again. With his window of opportunity now closing (despite two impressive victories over Taka Suzuki and Eddie Loomis), Kilgore looks to the 2011 Big City Rumble as his perfect opportunity to earn his match, pending his upcoming battle with “The Enforcer” Larry Huntley at Heatwave.
