Why Buddy, Why?
Michael “Buddy” Romano was believed to be a man of values. When he began training with Bob Evans and Slamtech University in 2007, Romano was known for his ‘never quit’ attitude and respect for his fellow wrestlers. It was because of these values and attitude that Buddy immediately endeared himself to the NCW world when he debuted in May of 2009, even winning the 2009 NCW Rookie of the Year award despite a less than stellar win-loss record.
Earlier this Season when Romano announced he was stepping away from wrestling due to personal reasons, the locker room was saddened to hear that the lovable underdog was leaving the business he loved so much. All of these things make it even more shocking that Buddy Romano returned to NCW in West Warwick at the Big City Rumble, taking credit for the attack on “Dynamic” Jon Thornhill and helped fellow Slamtech Alumni Owen Graichen in their beatdown on Thornhill’s tag team partner, “The Average Guy” Timothy Pittman.
So the question remains… Why Buddy, why? Unfortunately Romano ignored all questions from TheNCWOnline.com following his return at the Big City Rumble, only mentioning that things would be much clearer September 17th at NCW FALLOUT, when he would address the NCW fans and the NCW Tag Team Champions Generation SLAM.
