Summer MELTDOWN Preview
Just as America celebrates it’s Independence Northeast Championship Wrestling celebrates its return to Foxboro, MA this Saturday Night when Summer MELTDOWN invades the Knights of Columbus Hall located at 14 Church Street (right off Route 140). After a devastating Payback in Dedham, the reigning NCW Champion David Marxxx-Loomis must face an unknown challenge when the Luck of the Draw Lottery returns for the first time since 2008.
With the 2010 Big City Rumble on the horizon, where one man will outlast twenty nine others to earn a Championship opportunity at WrestleFest VI, MELTDOWN will feature a chance for one lucky competitor to wrestle for the Heavyweight Title, giving him a once in a lifetime opportunity.
In addition to the Luck of the Draw Lottery, MELTDOWN will also feature the return of the “Aristocratic Antagonist” Perry Von Vicious, who left NCW last Season for the sunny west coast shores. Vicious will be teaming with his former mentor and trainer “Royalty” William King, as King & PVV challenge the two time NCW Tag Team Champions Generation SLAM.

-For the NCW Heavyweight Championship-
After barely getting by the challenge of “The Portuguese Sensation” Ruy Batello (thanks to interference on behalf of his manager and adopted father JC Marxxx), David Marxxx-Loomis must once again defy the odds and try to find a way to hang on to his Heavyweight Championship July 10th in Foxboro.
It should be noted the last time there was a Luck of the Draw Lottery (at NCW HEATWAVE; August 2008) it was the night Loomis defeated then NCW Heavyweight Champion “Dynamite” Doug Summers following Doug’s Title defense against William King. Loomis had defeated Rob The Giant earlier in the night in his Luck of the Draw Match, earning a Title shot. Following Doug’s successful victory over his Luck of the Draw opponent, Loomis & Marxxx returned to the ring, with Marxxx utilizing David’s Title Match right then and there. Could lightning strike twice this Saturday for the NCW Champion? Only time will tell.
-NCW Tag Team Championship Match-
(c) Generation SLAM ["Dynamic" Jon Thornhill & "The Average Guy" Timothy Pittman] vs. “Royalty” William King & Perry Von Vicious
With Tim Pittman & Jon Thornhill’s second reign as Tag Team Champions, Generation SLAM have continued to dominate the tag team division as they look to become the greatest Tag Team in NCW history. At Summer MELTDOWN they will look toward a different sort of challenge when “Royalty” William King teams up with his former protege Perry Von Vicious to go after Generation SLAM and the coveted Tag Team Titles.
Vicious, who was the runner up in last Seasons 2009 Rookie of the Year award left for California last June to expand his wrestling horizons. If he and his former trainer King are successful in wrestling away Gen SLAM’s Tag Team gold, will the duo bolt for the west coast with NCW’s Championship?

(c) “The Showoff” Mike Paiva vs. “Dynamite” Doug Summers
Summer MELTDOWN will mark the one year anniversary for the “The Showoff” Mike Paiva, who defeated Richard Pacifico twelve months earlier to win the New England Championship. Since then “The Innovator of Sleaze” has done everything in his power to remain Champion, no matter the cost. After somehow surviving the Triple Threat Match at Payback, Paiva faces yet another daunting challenge July 10 when he wrestles the former NCW Champion “Dynamite” Doug Summers.
Summers has been embroiled in a bitter rivalry with Scotty “By GOD” Vegas since NCW’s 13 year REUNION, but at MELTDOWN he looks to become a 2 time New England Champion while awaiting a return match with Vegas at the Big City Rumble. Summers cannot look past “The Showoff” however, who’s proven to be a more than capable Champion over the last year regardless of his nefarious ways.
-Six Man Tag Team Match-
The Schillar Park Posse [Jack Krueger, Cam Denile, & Dale Denile] w/ Ryan Denile vs. The New Era [JT Dunn & Vinny Abruzzi] & Mike Volpe/Cenobite
With the volatile relationship between The Schillar Park Posse at a boiling point, the boys from Schillar Park took things to another level at Payback when they brutally attacked The BerZerker’s knee following their tag team match, while tying up his partner Cenobite and choking him with his own chain. Things escalated further when Cam Denile refused to unmask “The Monster” Cenobite, forcing Jack Krueger to take the initiative in unmasking the former New England Champion to the shock of the Dedham crowd.
Before any more damage could be done, JT Dunn & Vinny Abruzzi arrived onto the scene, running The Posse off and avoiding any further carnage. Having earned NCW contracts at the expense of Cam & Dale Denile at AFTERMATH, The New Era had already drawn the ire of The Posse, this only added more fuel to the fire. With Krueger in possession of the mask, a livid Mike Volpe has enlisted the rookie tag team at MELTDOWN, as he looks to gain revenge on the men who injured his tag team partner and placed him on the disabled list July 10th.
Anthony Stone vs. “The Unequaled One” Todd Sople
Since making his debut at NCW’s 13 year REUNION, “The Unequaled One” Todd Sople has made quite the impression on the NCW roster, looking to make an impact at anyone’s expense. After singlehandedly defeating two tag teams in the Tag Team Invitational at REUNION Sople found himself up against DUI, and eventually succumbed to the tandem of Anthony Stone & William Thorne.
Stone, a former NCW Tag Team Champion, has begun his quest to dominate the singles division in NCW and has made it known that “The One Man Wrecking Crew” will be his first casualty in this war. Having already ruffled the feathers of former tag team partner Brandon Webb at Payback, it’s a good thing Stone will have his DUI teammates with him in case anyone tries something at Summer MELTDOWN.
Destruction Under Impact [“The RIOT” Kellan Thomas & William Thorne] vs. Vicious V & Mr. Williams
Destruction Under Impact made their first NCW appearance when NCW debuted in Foxboro back in April, and have quickly developed a loyal following thanks to their work in Alliance Championship Wrestling based out of Fairhaven, MA. At Summer METLDOWN Thomas & Thorne take on the unique pairing of Vicious V & Mr. Williams, two men who have been dominant wherever they go. Making their NCW debuts July 10th, V and Williams may be in for the fight of their careers when they combat the destructive force of DUI!
