Jack Krueger: Living in Denile
For the Denile boys [Cam, Dale, & Ryan] and their childhood friend Jack Krueger, the past two months have been the rockiest ever for the tight knit group from Killingly’s Schillar Park district. And the main cause for the problems and dissention amongst the clique? Look no further than Jack Krueger himself. Shocking as it may be, there’s tangible proof that Krueger has attempted to sabotage his own team in order to cement himself as the leader of the Brothers Denile.
Growing up on the same street as the three sons of Bill Denile and Sam Kaczor, it’s an intimidating prospect to face down this motley crew all throughout your childhood. It was out of necessity and out of hopes of survival that young Jack Krueger aligned himself with the worst kids in school. Lil’ Jack used to be a good boy, just hoping to make it out of School and leave Connecticut for a better life. A self professed theater geek and poet, the innocence of Krueger began to fade as the years went on. Watching wrestling every week with The Brothers, it became clear what the future held for this foursome. According to family members, looking back on it now it’s like night and day. In his efforts to fit in, in his attempts to become a Denile, Krueger may have become the worst of the whole lot.
Since the group officially formed last year at Aftermath, Krueger has grown more and more violent in his actions and has become ruthless in his treatment of his “brothers”. When The Posse fell prey to the formation of Heaven’s Fury at WrestleFest V, Krueger nearly tore the locker room apart following the match furious over their embarrassment. When the plan to dominate the 2010 Season began to crumble thanks to the dominance of veterans like Dean “The Beast” Livsley and Tim Kilgore, Jack took it upon himself to take charge, and manage Ryan & Dale to victory over Cenobite & BerZerker (as tainted as it was). It wasn’t until Cam was absent for the 13 year REUNION that the rest of us finally began to see the madness of Jack Krueger. On their self proclaimed “biggest night in the company” Krueger was incensed over Cam’s disappearing act and began to formulate a revenge plan against the oldest Denile at NCW Aftermath, their one year anniversary as a unit. Pushing Ryan & Dale to train harder than ever, Krueger injured Ryan’s ankle during one of their grueling sessions putting him on the shelf indefinitely. At Aftermath, Krueger gave Cam one more chance to prove himself, and when a case of overconfidence got the better of him, Cam was rolled up by JT Dunn and Vinny Abruzzi to embarrass The Posse once more. Krueger took his frustrations out on Cam, and left him lying in the ring following the match.
At Payback, Cam returned to the Jacob Jones VFW Pose with a pipe in hand, ready to teach Krueger a lesson in humility for his actions in Riverside. Instead, Cam chose to stand by his family despite everything in an effort to keep the peace. While this was an act of nobility on the part of Cam, Krueger’s warped mind took it as another sign of power, power which he took full advantage of when The Posse decimated Heaven’s Fury in their tag team match. Drawing the DQ, all three men brutalized The BerZerker’s knee to the point where BerZerker will be heading into knee surgery while Krueger forced “The Monster” Cenobite to be unmasked, showing the pain of Mike Volpe for all to see.
Krueger’s actions are less to be desired, albeit proven to be effective during this chaotic time for The Schillar Park Posse. A conflicted Cam Denile left ringside following the assault, as The New Era returned to stop the attack on Cenobite & BerZerker. Dunn & Abruzzi forced Dale & Krueger from the ring physically, while Cam watched on with Cenobite’s mask. This is not the end from this reporter’s perspective, only the beginning of this impending storm.
When TheNCWOnline.com contacted The Denile household for a comment on this article, it was Mama Denile who put it best. “Jack always wanted to fit in with the boys. And he did. He is an extended part of our family, and we love him like he’s one of our own. But he’s not ours. He’s not a Denile. And once he realizes that he’ll probably be a lot happier with himself. It’s going to drive him crazy otherwise.”
