UPDATE: The Future of Pacifico…
It’s been over two weeks since NCW’s 2009 Season ended, and over two weeks since the world of Richard Pacifico was turned upside down when the NCW Heavyweight Champion David Marxxx-Loomis inadvertantly broke Pacifico’s jaw during their Heavyweight Title Match at WrestleFest V resulting in a stunning loss for the challenger and a trip to the local Emergency Room following the match.
In the early moments of the Match Pacifico was a house of fire as he finally got some revenge on the Champion for his attacks over the last couple of months following Pacifico’s Big City Rumble win in September. As the Match went to the outside, Loomis took advantage of the situation and threw a wild punch at Richard, knocking his jaw straight off. It took Pacifico a couple of moments to realize, and in a flurry of energy tossed Loomis into the crowd and onto a sea of chairs. As Pacifico went to make a move however he started to become woozy, and collapsed to the ground. Now bleeding from the mouth, Richard came to long enough for him to retrieve Loomis, but he then became dizzy again, giving the cagey Champion an in to hit his ‘sidesplitter’ in the middle of the ring and pin the dazed Pacifico.
Marxxx and his son quickly fled the scene as NCW wrestlers came to the aid of their friend when they realized he had passed out from the pain in the ring. In light of the situation, and to make sure he was taken care of EMT’s came to the scene and as a precaution took Richard to the nearby Hospital to be looked at.
After getting his jaw put back in place, Pacifico refused to talk with NCW Officials on his way out of the Hospital, and has avoided all telephone calls and e-mails in the days and weeks following the incident. A check in with his Doctor finds that Richard is not medically cleared to return to the ring, and may not return come the beginning of the 2010 Season which is just a few weeks away.

I think there is no shame in Richard Pacifico retiring… I mean, it’s an honor for him to be destroyed by my prodigal son David Marxxx-Loomis. There is no greater prize. Save yourself and your well being and stay home boy.

I don’t think it’s fair to say Loomis “inadvertantly” broke his jaw. Back when my knee was broken I managed Jon Thornhill in a match against Davey, and after the match he suckerpunched me and his punch rattled my brain. The man is out to end careers.
I’m sure Richard will be back. Loomis is tough, but he’s not THAT tough.
It will take more than a broken jaw to keep Pacifico out of the ring. He’ll be back and better than ever. Tim’s right, Loomis is tough, but if it takes a sucker punch to win what does that tell you?
